About 2 months ago they completed the install of fiber to the pedestal that services my house and the neighbor behind me. They activated service for the neighbor behind me (different street) but my address is still showing as “unavailable”. A few of our residents (I'm on the board of our homeowners' association) spoke to the workers and were told that AT&T was installing fiber optics to the neighborhood. Nobody knew which streets would be affected nor when the project would be completed. As it turns out, all four streets of our small subdivision were affected by this work.In 2017 ATT put fiber in the front of my neighborhood. My neighborhood is Trillium in Brooksville Florida. The part of the neighborhood that has it is two blocks from my house. I have called about this matter many times over the past few years but can’t get a straight answer.It would make sense for them put fiber in my area. I’m like 100 yards from an airport, like 100 yards from an interstate, and right in the middle of an entertainment district in my area. All those are good reasons for commercial fiber. But don't mean much in terms of whether residential fiber would make sense there.The fiber infrastructure has already been set up in my neighborhood. It's been about a month now. How long after the infrastructure is set up does it take for them to turn on service? I wish I could post pictures, the utility cabinet is literally about 10 yards from my house and pods/nodes are set up in my backyard.The problem with fast 5G+ is you have to place an antenna on a pole every block and feed it with fiber. And based on your update it will be buried work along your street in addition to the work at the corner.
